I'm lucky that today's senior also happens to be part of my family! Alexis is my husband's second cousin which, in my opinion, also makes her my second cousin. I was only blessed with two cousins - one on my dad's side and one on my mom's side. Brian, however, has dozens of cousins from both sides of his family and I love each and every one of them and proud to call them part of my family. I did pictures for Alexis' brother, Dakota, a few years ago and really couldn't believe that this was her senior year already! They live over an hour away from me south of Atlanta so we chose a location in between us for her senior pictures. Cochran Mills Park is also where we took her brother's pictures but this park is so big and has some amazing scenery with falls and trails and is surrounded by open fields and countryside so her pictures so we had lots of options. We shot at the waterfall first and I had brought a couple dresses that I thought would be perfect for her and I noticed some beautiful fields with blue wildflowers down the road from the park so we took some portraits there also. Her pictures just scream springtime which is a change from Dakota's because we did his pictures in the fall with all that beautiful autumn color.
Alexis is the sweetest and I am so excited for her as she heads off to college in the fall! I love you guys so much, Alisha, Don, Dakota and Alexis! Thank you for loving me like you love Brian and for being such an awesome example of a supportive and encouraging family! I love how proud you are of one another and support each other with such positive words. And thank you to Don and Dakota for your service as first responders and fire fighters - below Alexis' pictures is some information about the Firefighters Charitable Foundation.
The Firefighters Charitable Foundation provides support for victims of fire disasters and Volunteer Fire Departments and they fund fire safety programs and education. We know so many firefighters (like Brandon's dad) and several others in our community and because Alexis' dad and her brother are both fire fighters I thought this was the perfect charity to include with her pictures! Thank you to all of you that serve in this way! Click on the button above to find out how you can contribute to the FFCF.
Here is a quote from a family who was helped by this foundation:
"We would like to say a special "Thank You" for your gift that is helping us pull our lives together after the loss of our home due to fire.
We appreciate your generosity and may God richly bless you for your kindness."
